About — Rosa Lindqvist
A photographer's practice
I've been shooting professionally for over a decade, working across portrait, wedding, and editorial photography. I came to photography through image-making as a way of seeing — how light shapes form, how a moment reveals character, how restraint in framing can say more than detail.
That foundation informs everything: whether I'm photographing a couple on their wedding day, sitting with someone for a portrait, or shooting an assignment to brief, the work is built on observation, natural light, and the belief that the best photographs are the ones that feel true.
Magazine commissions and published work
My editorial practice has shaped how I approach all photography. Shooting to brief for magazine art directors and editors teaches you precision: how to see what an assignment actually needs, how to work within constraints, and how to deliver under deadline without losing the eye that drew you to photography in the first place.
That discipline carries into wedding and portrait work. You learn to be unobtrusive, to read light and moment quickly, and to trust that attention and timing matter more than technical perfection or post-production rescue.
What a day or sitting will feel like
I shoot documentary-first, whether I'm at a wedding or in the studio. That means I'm attentive to what's actually happening — the light, the moment, the emotion — rather than heavily directing. On a wedding day, I move quietly through the hours, catching the details and the in-between moments alongside the formal portraits. In a studio or outdoor portrait sitting, I work with natural light and conversation, aiming for images that feel like you rather than performed.
I work on film and digital, depending on the brief. I deliver images that have been colour-graded and edited with care, ready to live in your home or in print without fuss or over-processing.
Based in Gothenburg
I'm based in Gothenburg and available year-round for portrait sessions and editorial assignments in and around the city. For weddings, I travel across Sweden and beyond — reach out to discuss dates and location.
